These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Stephen Barnett Jewellery (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”) when using our website, purchasing products, booking services, or attending classes.

By placing an order, booking a service, or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Provided

Stephen Barnett Jewellery provides the following services:

• Bespoke handmade jewellery commissions

• Jewellery repairs and restoration

• High-end jewellery design and manufacture

• CAD (Computer Aided Design) services (in person and online)

• Private jewellery tuition in our studio

• External teaching and workshops (including off-site venues such as Goldsmithing institutions)

• Online and in-person CAD training

• Sale and shipping of bespoke handmade jewellery tools and related products

2. Bespoke Commissions & Repairs

• All commissions are subject to written quotation and approval before work begins

• A deposit may be required before work commences

• Final payment must be made before collection or dispatch of completed work

• Lead times are estimates and may vary depending on complexity and materials

• Any changes requested after approval may result in additional charges

3. CAD Services

• CAD design work will only be released once full payment has been received

• No CAD files, models, or design data will be transferred prior to payment in full

• Revisions may be subject to additional charges unless otherwise agreed

4. Tuition, Classes & Workshops

• Invoices for teaching must be paid prior to the start date of the class

• Deposits for teaching are non-refundable

• Classes cancelled with less than ten (10) days’ notice from the start date will be charged at the full cost of the class plus any material expenses

• We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel classes where necessary, in which case alternative dates or refunds may be offered where appropriate

• The customer is prohibited from using any skills, methods, or training gained in classes to set up or deliver competing classes or training in direct competition with Stephen Barnett Jewellery

5. Tools & Online Shop Orders

• All tools and products are sold subject to availability

• Orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed

• Shipping times are estimates and may vary depending on stock and demand

• Once dispatched, responsibility for goods passes to the customer

• We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services

6. Customer Property & Risk

Stephen Barnett Jewellery is not liable for any damage, loss, or deterioration to personal property, however caused. This includes any tools, stones, metal, or jewellery brought into our studio or sent to us.

If you ask us to work on your existing pieces or with your own materials, this is entirely at your own risk.

We take the utmost care with all customer property but cannot accept liability for accidental damage, loss, or unforeseen issues arising during the course of work.

7. Quotes & Pricing

• All quotes are valid for a limited period and may be subject to change if material costs or requirements change

• Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry

• Any additional work requested outside the original scope will be charged separately

8. Payments

• Payment terms will be stated on invoices

• Late payments may result in delays to production or delivery

• We reserve the right to withhold goods or services until full payment has been received

9. Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits for commissions and tuition are generally non-refundable

• Refunds are not available once bespoke work has commenced

• Cancellations must be made in writing

• Refund eligibility, if any, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on work completed

10. Intellectual Property

• All designs, CAD models, drawings, and creative work remain the intellectual property of Stephen Barnett Jewellery unless otherwise agreed in writing

• CAD files will not be released until full payment has been received

11. Website Content

• All content on this website, including text, images, and designs, is owned by Stephen Barnett Jewellery unless otherwise stated

• Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission

12. Liability

• We accept no liability for indirect loss, loss of earnings, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products

• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where legally applicable
