CAD Modelling Teaching

CAD Classes for Jewellery Design
Learn how to design and model your own jewellery in 3D with professional CAD training from Stephen Barnett Jewellery in Farnham, Surrey.
I offer CAD for Jewellery design courses suitable for all skill levels — from complete beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced jewellers looking to expand their digital design skills.
Training is available in flexible formats:
Online one-to-one CAD classes tailored to your goals and schedule
Small group workshops where you can learn alongside other jewellers
In-person CAD sessions at my Farnham studio with optional hands-on follow-up classes
I primarily teach using Rhino CAD software, but can also provide tuition in MatrixGold upon request. View previous students designs below or find out about my taster classes.

CAD Design to Creation
For those who want to experience the full process, I also offer the opportunity to bring your CAD models to life in the workshop. You can come in for an in-person class to set stones, finish, and polish your pieces after casting — an invaluable experience for understanding how digital tolerances translate to real-world craftsmanship, especially in stone setting and fine detailing.
Whether you’re a hobbyist, student, or professional jeweller, my goal is to help you develop confidence and precision in CAD jewellery design and apply those skills directly at the bench.

Student Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Work Gallery
Explore a selection of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) jewellery projects created by my students during various CAD design courses — from introductory taster days to advanced ‘Design to Reality’ classes.
Each piece showcases the creativity, precision, and technical skills developed through professional CAD jewellery training. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced maker, these examples demonstrate what’s possible when traditional craftsmanship meets modern digital design.
